Urban Study and Design for Civic Plaza Area of Nansha Yango City
Guangzhou, Guangdong, China
The study area covers blocks round a Civic Plaza and two major Avenues, shares the central landscape corridor with the District’s government and administration center, and will make a central gateway for the District. The design re-shapes the central urban corridor, incorporates in the landscape functional public facilities such as next-gen mall, smart office, everyday retail etc., and makes a valuable urban “living room” for the District of Nansha. To help achieve the city’s goal-low carbon, environmental friendly, economic efficiency, 3 key strategies are applied:
Strategy #1: from Central “Plaza” to Central “Park”
Strategy #2: Green Air Corridor
Strategy #3: 3D Urban Gardens for North-South Air Link
